Assessments (also referred to as evaluations, tests, and screenings) provide information about processing abilities, overall academic strengths, weaknesses, achievement gaps, and measure progress. Depending on the need, a screening, an informal assessment, or a comprehensive academic assessment will be administered to help determine the root cause of the student’s challenges.

Assessment process & components
- Developmental, medical, and educational history
- Testing in the form of informal, formal and/or comprehensive academic assessment, depending on the nature of the presenting problem
- An integrated report with test scores, interpretation, and recommendations
- Comprehensive academic assessments are more in-depth and may require additional evaluations conducted in collaboration with allied professionals to consider conditions that may include anxiety, depression, spectrum disorders, or ADHD
